Behind the Scenes At Made to Jetset, Inc. Consulting & Pet Jets — The Top 10 Things I Hear Most Often

After years of experience building the Made To Jetset, Inc. and Pet Jets brand, I’ve gained insight into the unique needs of our clients navigating travel and relocation. I don’t just promote our services – I’ve lived them. From moving to Hawaii in 2022 to relocating off the island in 2025, I’ve personally experienced the complex logistics and emotional weight of relocation overseas with pets – twice.

My own need for our services has fueled my passion to promote the brand. After thousands of conversations via email and phone with clients across the globe, I’ve learned a vital truth: the clients who trust us with their project and allow us to lead with our expert guidance are the ones who meet their goals and experience solutions that work – not just ideas without a true outcome.

Many of the people who reach out to us need a professional to take over, but they assume we’re too expensive, or that we do not have the proper solution they are seeking. But these assumptions become barriers, keeping them from the solutions that are not only within reach, but designed exactly for people like them. Here are the top 10 things I hear from our prospective clients with insight:

1. “How much is this going to cost?”

Without a doubt, this is the #1 question I get and it’s not even close. After more than three years working alongside Honey here at Made to Jetset, Inc. Consulting and Pet Jets, I’ve heard it more times than I can count. Back in 2022, when I started exploring options to fly my pets in-cabin to Hawaii, I had absolutely no concept of the private aviation world. I had never flown private before, actually I hadn’t even been around it. It was completely foreign territory, but that is why I knew I needed a professional to guide me. I PAID the retainer fee to become a Pet Jets Travel Club Member in order to gain access to Honey’s extensive expertise in the private aviation realm.

For most people, private aviation feels like a completely foreign world and I totally get it. It’s not every day that the average person finds themselves flying on multi-million-dollar private jet charters. I’m constantly racking my brain, trying to put the cost of what we do into context. I am always trying to find comparisons that make sense to people who’ve never been in this world before. When people ask us, “How much is this going to cost?” – it’s a lot like asking someone, “How much did your house cost?” The answer completely depends on the details. Just like real estate, private aviation travel is highly individualized. Factors like location, timing, aircraft availability, number and size of pets, and even seasonal demand all come into play. No two moves are the same, and there’s no flat rate that fits everyone’s situation.

We can provide clients with an estimate of private jet charter costs based on their specific route and time frame. However, for mixed manifest flights—where people and pets share the cost of the flight – it’s essential that clients set their own budgetary guidelines. We ask them to define a high budget (the maximum they’re willing to spend) and a low budget (the ideal amount they hope to stay within). This helps us tailor options that best fit their budget tolerance.

2. “I do not understand your process, or business model.”

To provide clarity on what we do here at Made To Jetset, Inc. Consulting and Pet Jets – I want to shed light on the fact that we are providing consultations for clients who are looking to move anywhere in the world. We are not an airline. We think outside of the box for our clients who come to us with moving projects. For example in January 2025, we consulted for a client who needed to fly his five pets from Florida to Costa Rica for a move. Thanks to Made To Jetset, Inc. Consulting and Pet Jet’s long standing relationships with various air carriers we found a light jet option that could accommodate all five of his pets. We have consulted with clients on moving classic cars from the mainland to Hawaii, using VIP Ground Transportation to transport a pet from coast to coast in the United States, and selected the right method of flying to Europe for a move. We are not limited to consulting on private aviation options, but we can consult to find a solution for any moving, or travel project.

I have spent the last three years creating blogs, website pages, social media posts, YouTube videos, and marketing emails to educate prospective clients on our consulting services. I encourage all of our prospective clients to review our YouTube videos to quickly understand our business model and our expertise. We do protect our inside knowledge and do not share specific information with people who have not signed our engagement contract and paid our consulting invoice.

3. “I am very flexible.”

Can you drop everything and jump on a private jet charter if one becomes available this week? Flexibility means different things to different people, but here’s the reality: if your budget is limited, you’ll need to be flexible with timing and arrangements to make a mixed manifest flight work. The more adaptable you are, the better chance we have of finding an option that fits your needs.

For example, back in 2022, my husband received orders for June, and I was working with Honey to fly our two Corgis, Gizmo and Stormy, to Oahu. But I didn’t end up flying until August because that’s when a mixed manifest flight lined up and worked for everyone involved. Fast forward to this year, I flew in May 2025 – three months earlier than our official PCS date. Over time, I’ve learned that when an opportunity presents itself in this industry, it’s best to be ready to adjust your plans and jump on the flight option. Flexibility can make all the difference.

I’ve seen many clients miss out on opportunities simply because they weren’t ready to take advantage of what was available right in front of them. In this industry, timing and flexibility are everything. Sometimes, the best and ONLY option won’t wait around, or happen twice. As your professional consultants, we always push our clients to take the option(s) that fit their given needs.

4. “I do not want to pay a consulting fee just to be told I cannot afford this service.”

I wasn’t sure if flying on a private jet charter would ever be within my reach, especially with a limited budget. But I decided to pay the retainer fee and become a Member anyway because I knew that without taking that step, I wouldn’t have any chance at making it happen. I started my research on Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok – anything you can think of to find inside information on how I could fly my pets in-cabin to Hawaii. It was hard to decipher what was accurate and what was just ideas floating around online. Made To Jetset, Inc. Consulting and Pet Jets had a proven track record of BOOKING private jet charter flights with pets to and from Hawaii and to various locations around the world.

Paying the consulting fee is like taking the first step to get into a super exclusive, hard-to-get-into nightclub – once you’re in, new opportunities open up that simply aren’t available to just anyone. We do not offer our inside knowledge to those who have not taken the steps to sign our engagement agreement and pay the consulting fee because we have no interest in working for free. No one else does what we do and there will always be an upfront cost to working with us on any project.

5. “I have no idea what to put for my high and low budget goals. I am new to the private aviation industry.”

Prospective clients often put the budgetary questions into our hands, but the only person who can determine their budgetary tolerance is the client themselves. To help guide clients on giving us high/low budget goals that make sense for their particular situation my advice is this:

  • Assess Your Financial Limits: Think about the maximum amount you’re willing and able to spend. This is your high budget, the ceiling beyond which you don’t want to go. Also, what’s your low budget – the amount you’d ideally like to pay?
  • Be Flexible: If your budget is tight, being flexible on travel dates or specific routes can open up more affordable options, like mixed manifest flights.
  • Communicate Your Needs: If you need to call the shots (For example: Needing to depart from a specific location, or arriving into a specific location) then your budget needs to correlate with your specific requests.

6. “Other companies have quoted me XYZ.”

Made To Jetset, Inc. Consulting and Pet Jets has never and will never sell tickets, seats, or have set pricing on private jet charters. We do not price matches with any other companies as no one else does what we do. Prospective clients often mention other “businesses” or “companies” claiming they can build shared flights to and from Hawaii. But a key question to ask is: Have they actually completed a flight to or from Hawaii? It’s one thing to talk about possibilities and ideas, but it’s another to deliver real, successful outcomes. At Made to Jetset, Inc., we have a proven track record (since 2006) of booking and completing private jet charter flights for people and pets to a variety of locations.

7. “I can’t afford your services, but I do need specialized help.”

We often hear clients state that they cannot afford our services at Made To Jetset, Inc. Consulting and Pet Jets. People often engage in emailing, calling, or texting us with no intentions to compensate us for our expert guidance. I (Megan) am more than willing to walk you through and answer questions regarding our engagement contract and consulting invoice, but we do not provide any project based strategy or solutions for those who have not paid us upfront. We must reserve our time for those who have paid us ahead of consulting for them. I was once in the shoes of many of our clients where I felt unsure if I could afford to fly on a mixed manifest private jet charter, but I needed professional help to get my pets safely flown over to Hawaii. Our team specializes in finding tailored solutions that fit your unique needs – whether you’re navigating a military PCS, planning a family relocation, or traveling with pets for a vacation – let us take the pressure off and show you what’s possible.

8. “I need to keep the cost of private jet travel lean – I’ve already spent so much on other parts of my move, like buying a home, shipping household goods, or on the travel to get to and from the flight destination.”

Moving is expensive – every aspect of it – including private jet charter costs. I highly encourage our prospective clients to factor in the cost of a private jet charter if that is the method of travel you are looking to use for your family, and pets for a move/vacation. The budgetary goals for doing a private, or mixed manifest charter should be factored into the overall cost of the move/project. Whether you’re exploring a full private charter or a mixed manifest flight, your budgetary goals for the flight should be part of your total relocation or project planning. We often hear from clients that they are on a limited budget due to the expenses of building, or buying a home in Hawaii, or other locations such as the Caribbean. Planning to spend less on the private jet charter part of the move than say household good shipment is unrealistic. We do have connections for more cost effective options if private jet charters are beyond our client’s budgetary goals.

9. “This move is so stressful and I am very overwhelmed.”

Moving is often ranked as one of the most stressful experiences in a person’s life. Moving overseas takes that stress to a whole new level. Having completed an overseas PCS move between the Midwest and Hawaii myself, I completely understand the overwhelming feeling that comes with facing a seemingly endless checklist of tasks.

We’re a one-stop shop for pet owners navigating the complex world of private aviation and moving to locations such as Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, St. Thomas, Europe, and destinations within the United States.

10. “We had an excellent experience with Made To Jetset, Inc. Consulting and Pet Jets.”

Since 2006, we have flown countless people and pets all over the world for a fraction of what it cost to charter an entire jet.
