General Questions

When it comes to private aviation, one question consistently tops the list: "How much is this going to cost me?" It’s an essential question, yet it doesn’t have a straightforward answer. Unlike traditional travel options, the costs associated with private jet charters are not fixed; they are situational and influenced by a multitude of factors. In the private aviation industry, pricing is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Here are some reasons why we refrain from offering estimates or ballpark figures:

  • Variability of Flight Demand: Prices fluctuate based on demand, route, aircraft type, and even the time of year.
  • Tailored Solutions: Each member has unique travel needs and preferences that influence pricing. Whether you are flying last-minute or planning a trip months in advance, these factors can lead to considerable differences in cost.
  • Maximizing Value: Our primary focus is on delivering value for our clientele members. By avoiding broad estimates, we can work closely with you to identify the most cost-effective solutions tailored to your specific requirements.

We serve clients who value certainty, transparency, and personalized service — which is why we do not offer “by-the-seat” pricing models. This model is often crowdsourced via social media groups and involves private charters, not commercial airline operations. These flights are not subsidized by taxpayers and lack the financial protections or reliability of traditional carriers. They also depend on meeting a minimum number of paying passengers — typically 12 per leg, or 24 for a round trip. If that threshold isn’t met, the flight is usually canceled — often with little notice, compensation, or alternatives. In contrast, we provide contracted, custom logistics and consulting solutions designed around your specific needs. From timing and privacy to handling and budget, our approach ensures reliability, operational control, and peace of mind — not guesswork.

Compared to scheduled commercial flight, air charter can be expensive, but for those that have chartered with their pets, especially for re-locations it provides a solution that saves time, but most importantly allows everyone to fly together in the cabin safely. For those who have not chartered aircraft before, we encourage you to get a quote for your requested trip. If your estimate is within your budget we then will provide formal quotes that include the suggested type of aircraft, flight time, hourly rate, landing fees, international handling fees, taxes, as well as additional fees that might be required by the air carrier such as flight crew overnights and aircraft cleaning.

Pet Jets ™ arranges pet-friendly, safe, and reliable private air transportation as an aviation consultant working on the behalf of our members. Pet Jets ™ is not an airline or an air carrier with scheduled service and does not operate aircraft. Pet Jets ™ has access to thousands of approved aircraft that are FAA approved in the U.S. or by the government civil aviation authority in the country they operate in. Pet Jets ™ provides quotes and aviation consulting services providing due diligence in the area of air carrier safety audits, aircraft and crew requirements, insurance, contracts, and educating our members on their best air charter. In addition, the membership allows members to share flights with other members within the Pet Jets Travel Club. ™

Other services include VIP Ground Transportation referral and Pet Nanny Services referral.

Pet Jets Travel Club ™ was created to assist our members who might be interested in sharing an air charter flight. The Pet Jets Travel Club ™ is a service provided within the Pet Jets membership/retainer fee. The benefit is for members to find one other party to share the flight and thus save approximately 50% on your charter allowing flights to be more affordable. New members have access to this program for a small membership fee and we post as many flight requests as you may have in order to network with other pet owners via social media, email, and our website. Once another party is found and members agree on a departure point and date, Pet Jets ™ then seeks the best-priced charter options available. If interested in joining please use the contact me link for membership information or click here.

Pet Jets ™ does not ship pets, however it is possible to arrange a private air charter for pets that are not accompanied by their owner. In this event, a pet attendant would need to accompany the pet(s) that would require additional fees. Ask us for details!

People and organizations charter aircraft because they are simply time machines with access to thousands of more airports than the airlines serve worldwide. The avoidance of long security lines and traffic with major airports allows for less stress for both people and their pets. Passengers and pets are pre-cleared for security and in many cases can drive up to their chartered aircraft and board immediately after meeting their personal flight crew. While in flight your pet enjoys the comfort and safety of cabin with you and upon arrival ground transportation and customs can be arranged for you to quickly be on your way to your new home or destination.
